Tik-Tok

Since 2019, Tik-Tok has gotten close to 2 billion people downloading it. A majority of its users are Millenials who make simple videos and circulate on the platform. Launched in 2018, this social media platform shares the same concept with tik-tok. They thrive on making short and entertaining videos such as people dancing or doing an extreme activity. The app also comes with some inbuilt features that can be used to enhance the videos for different effects.

Vero

This is a photo-sharing app that works almost the same way as Instagram. The difference is that Vero prides itself on not allowing adverts like other social media networks. The owner Ayman Hariri has constantly said that the concept of the platform is to help the users save on their data charges by not allowing adverts.

Caffeine

This app was developed by former Apple designers. It operates on the premises of bringing unique videos and content on sports and entertainment. The biggest target market is Millenials who are looking for creative content that is packaged in short and simple ways that capture their attention.

Steemit

This app was developed in 2016 and operates on a different model compared to other social media sites. The users are entitled to a reward in a virtual currency called STEEM. They can then withdraw the currency in the form of bitcoins and cryptocurrencies.
