Ironbridge Gorge, Monday September 12, 2005, a World Heritage site, which will join with sites in Germany and the Netherlands to form the European Route of Industrial Heritage. A heritage trail linking sites of industrial significance across Europe is launched in Britain today. Experts are gathering at the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site in Telford, Shropshire, to unveil the first in a series of plaques marking the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH).
