Concorde takes off maiden flight 1969

MARCH 2: On March 2nd 1969, Concorde made its maiden flight. The Anglo-French plane took off from Toulouse and was in the air for 27 minutes before the pilot made the decision to land. The BA concorde flew its last scheduled flight on Friday 24 October 2003. Impressive picture as the mighty Concorde 002, British prototype of the Anglo-French supersonic airliner project, takes off from Filton, Bristol, on her maiden flight.

I was there too. Walked there from Callicroft Junior school, think the whole school might have been there to watch it. Have enjoyed watching it for many, many years since.
