The 1960 Tg 500 Tiger "bubble car" which is the top lot in a sale of the Bruce Weiner Microcar collection at Christie's in London on March 6, 1997. The high performance version of the Messerschmitt is expected to fetch between 15 - 18,000. The cars symbolized the Swingin' Sixties and are now a cult in Britain and Japan, where small is beautiful and ownership of a car depends on the size of the parking space. Canadian bubble gum magnate Weiner said: "I saw this little picture of a Messerschmitt and I just couldn't believe it. I'd never seen anything like it. I had to have it". See PA Story SALE Bubble/PA.
