Their Greatest Hits by Eagles 1976

Eagles' biggest commercial success is their Greatest Hits compilation album. It's the fifth biggest selling record of all time, clocking up over 42 million sales, and features songs from the period 1971-1975. Can you believe that their most recognisable song, "Hotel California" isn't even on the album?!

I have enjoyed the solo music of band members Joe Walsh,Glen Frey and most particularly Don Henley but as a collective I found The Eagles to be rather dreary.

The reason Hotel California wasn't on the album was because it was released before they recorded the song.
